He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva Hood and Harry Hood, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Jerry (Marion) and Kierston Walker; his grandson Zachary Walker (Hannah); his child Shawn Hood (Christina); his grandchildren, Bryce and Erin; his daughter Rebecca Walker (Michael); his grandchildren, Aidan, Brandon, Logan and Eliana; his sisters, Mindy Hamilton (Lee) and Carol Clark; his nieces, Holly, Heidi and Laura; and his nephew Vance. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Kearney, Whittier Elementary School, or the Kearney Food Pantry.
