He was predeceased by : his parents, Jesse Virgil and Zelma B. "Bill" Newton (Miller); his brothers, Carl Newton (Minnie) and Harold Newton (Inez); and his brother-in-law Artie Williams.
He is survived by : his wife Wilma Newton; his sons, Lanny D. Newton (Gina) of Amarillo and Kevin B. "Brent" Newton (Resa) of Holts Summit; his sister Lucille Williams of Lubbock; his grandchildren, Tawn Mitchell (Darron), Terrill Newton (Stephanie), Terrance Newton (Tina), Zachary Newton (Jamie), Aleisha Newton Malone and Tiffany Newton; and his great grandchildren, Crysta, Carter, Cooper Newton, Whitney, Brynn, Brett Mitchell, Tinley and Timber Newton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
