He was predeceased by: his parents, Mancle Kintner and Anna May Kintner (Perkins); his wife Cleta Ann Southard; his siblings, Kenneth Kintner, Don "Joker" Kintner and Carol Griggs; his grandson Chris Reed; and his son-in-law Dan Reed.
He is survived by: his children, Krista Shively (Paul), Jean Reed, Pam Spalding (Shane), Scott Kintner (Teresa) and Arnold Bailey, Jr.; his siblings, Carl Dean Kintner, Mancle Kintner, Jr., Marilyn Gibbons, Ruth Evert and Mary Jane Curtis; and his grandchildren, Amber Kintner, Morgan Shively, Joshua Shively, Jamie Reed, Mike Reed, Trey Bailey, Adam Bailey, Abbi Schulte, Devon Werdehausen and Derek Spalding. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Houser-Millard Funeral Directors (2613 W Main St, Jefferson City, MO 65109). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to The Children's Heart Foundation, a cause especially meaningful to Ed's family because of his great-grandson, Hank.
