She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion C. Douglas and Alta Douglas (Oakes); her husband Donald; her children, Shirley Brunk, Jewel Newby and Daniel Newby; and her siblings, Gerald Douglas and Dora Elderkin.
She is survived by: her son Ronald Newby (Isabel) of Orange Park; her grandchildren, Leilani Newby (Reno McCormick), Eric Newby (Dana), Michelle Newby-McKenzie (Duane), Lisa Buhr (David Woodling) and Adam Brunk (Michelle Pfeiffer); and her niece Jacqueline Elderkin. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
