He was predeceased by: his former wife Verna Smith; his stepmother Ann Smith; and his granddaughter Emma Azdell. He is survived by: his parents, Robert Smith and Betty Smith; his wife Ginger Smith; his children, Adrienne Deemie (Kevin), Audrey Azdell (Jeremy) and Ryan Smith (Samantha); his grandchildren, Kaleb Deemie, Klein Deemie, Khase Deemie, Avianna Deemie, Christian Azdell, Joselynn Berg, Rhett Smith and Hayes Smith; and his siblings, John Smith, Bob Smith (Ann), Robin Gildehaus (Zach) and Kelly Biser.
