He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles William Sparks and Ouita Sparks Huitt (Carmical); and his son Justin Sparks. He is survived by: his wife Dana; his sons, Tyler Sparks and Michael Sparks (Kenna); his daughter-in-law Deanna Sparks; his grandchildren, Kyle, Krista, Maci and Ashlin; and his great grandchild Scarlett.

The family suggests donations to The Houston Senior Citizens Center in lieu of flowers.
