He was predeceased by: his parents, John Isreal Gunter and Beatrice Anne Collins; and his siblings, Wayne Gunter, John Wayland Gunter, Robert Lee Gunter, Sylvia Maxine (Peterman) and Zella Mae (Marshell Rhodes).
He is survived by: his brother David (Daisy) of West Plains, MO; his sister-in-law Lovella Gunter of Houston, MO; his wife Shirley Gunter (Davenport) of Success, MO; his children, Rick Gunter (Debra) of Sparta, MO, Tammy Martin (Roger) of Houston, MO, Vicki Nelson (Terry) of Licking, MO and Kelly Gunter of Fayetteville, AR.; and his grandchildren, Amanda Blackwell of Plano, TX, Jeremy Gunter of San Angelo, TX, Jason Martin of Houston, MO, Joseph Nelson of Licking, MO and Whitney Nelson of Topeka, KS.. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
