He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Ray Lester Shelton and Doris Vee Shelton (Rauscher); his grandparents, George and Mary; his brothers, Leonard and Tony Shelton; his stepfather Herman Mitchell; his wife Annetta Kay Kirkwood; his children, LeAn Stallcup (Steve) of Bucyrus, MO, Carl Eugene Shelton (Cheta) of Bucyrus, MO and William "Bill" Lester Shelton (Sarah) of Graff, MO; his grandchildren, Lacey, Colt, Levi, Coty, Chelsea, Camber, Henry, Claire, Ella and Carlee; his stepbrothers, Lloyd Mitchell (Janis) of Mountain Grove, MO and Johnnie Mitchel (Lora) of Warsaw, MO; and his sisters-in-law, Karen Shelton, Carolyn Shelton, Bonnie Hayes (Larry) and Betty Kirkwood. He was also cherished by seventeen great grandchildren.
