He was predeceased by: his parents, C. Edwin "Red" Smith and Nellie Jane Smith (Vorge); his wife Rosemary Smith; and his grandson Joey Fifer. He is survived by: his children, Michael Shannon Smith (Jessica) of New Bloomfield, Jodi Diane Smith of Huntsville and Erin J. Smith (Jason) of Huntsville, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Kenzie Riles (Preston), Lane White, Gavin Smith, Lindsey Hildreth (Brett), Corey Smith (Jalyn) and Kyle Smith. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
