He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Howerton and Helen Faye Eisenhower Howerton; his half-brother Dean Pettyjohn; and his stepbrother Delbert Howerton. He is survived by: his wife Jackie Howerton of Hurdland, MO; his children, Charlotte Anders (Rick) of Hurdland, MO, Brian Howerton (Millie) of Hurdland, MO and Tom Howerton (Cassie) of Kansas City, MO; and his sister Nita Wingate (Rich) of Stormlake, IA.
