She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Gustave and Vivian Guy Ornes; her husband Delbert Lee Howerton; her stepmother Gladys Ornes; her sister Anita Ornes; and her son-in-law Glenn Thomas Gooch.
She is survived by: her children, Shirley Gooch of Hartford, IA, Delberta Buettner (David) of Waterloo, IL, Jackie Howerton of Hurdland, MO and Lee Howerton (Sara) of Hurdland, MO; her brothers, Allen Ornes (Kathy) of Florida, Marvin Ornes (Terri) of Colorado Springs, CO and Harold Ornes (Lynn) of Aiken, S. C.; her grandchildren, Adrian Gooch, Emily Gooch, Andrew Buettner, Jessica Buettner, Jennifer Hall, Brent Franke, Kelly Howerton, Suzanne Evans, Alex Howerton and Tage Howerton; and her great grandchildren, Dominic Gooch, Layla Abalo, Theodore Herweck, Arlos Herweck, Ryan Hall, Tucker Hall, Zowie Franke, Zaine Franke, Makhi Cox, Monique Howerton and Calvin Howerton. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home (408 E Morgan, Edina, MO 63537). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
