With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Connie Jean (Smith) Prather of Iberia, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 20, 2024 at the age of 78. She was predeceased by : her parents, Conard "Cap" Smith and Tressie Smith (Gale); and her husband Bill Prather. She is survived by : her children, Claudia Herd (Paul) and Leonard "Linn" Wilson; her stepdaughters, Donna Underwood (Mike) and Carrie Fritchey (Larry); and her grandchildren, Shelbe Simone (Lucas), Blake Herd, Lilith Wilson, Damien Plemmons (Jessica), Madison Plemmons (Chelsea), Victoria Hagerman (Devin), Mallory Baker (Dylan) and Drew Underwood.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home (2247 MO-17, Iberia, MO 65486). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Miller County Historical Society.
