He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Prater and Hazel Prater (Atwell); his stepmother Scottie Prater; his wife Lois Prater; and his sisters, Joyce Depping and Kathy Blankenship.
He is survived by: his daughters, Vicki French (Michael) of Dixon and Lisa Moore (Bruce) of Camdenton; his grandchildren, Emily Trotter (Andrew), Monte French (Whitney), T. J. Moore (Jordan), Cooper Moore (Jordyn), Cody Moore (Amber) and Kylee Moore; his great grandchildren, Trevor, Julia, Jolene, Lincoln, Maxwell, Jack and Wesley Jo; and his siblings, Judy Fritchey, Pam Thornton, Sandy Hardesty and Ronnie Prater. He is also survived by in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
