She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Schmidt and Mae Schmidt (Grisham); her husband Charles Donley Copeland; her grandsons, Dalton Maylee and BJ Maylee; her great grandchild Eli Maylee; her daughter-in-law Sherrie Maylee; and her siblings, Peggy Maylee, Robert Schmidt, Jerry Schmidt, Lenard Schmidt, Roger Schmidt and Patty Plaisted.
She is survived by: her children, Bruce Maylee (Dana) of Iberia, Dale Maylee (Carla) of Moberly, Ruthie Nelson (Don) of Iberia, Lisa Rauba of St. Joseph and Dana Teague (Dan) of La Grange, TX; and her siblings, Harland Schmidt, Floyd Schmidt, Linda Donahue and Jack Russell. She is also survived by 12 grandkids and 29 great grandkids.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you take a moment to tell someone you love them, go outside, or do something kind - just as Mary Ellen so often did.
