She was predeceased by: her husband Paul Wilfong; her children, Carl Wayne Brooks and Sherry Ann Breithaupt; her parents, Herbert (Helen) and Murphy; her siblings, Raymond Brent, Eunice Glass, Maggie Humphrey, Annie Kelso and Opal Wangelin; her sons-in-law, Robert Cooley and Steve Selders; and her grandson Robert Wayne Cooley, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughters, Carol Luzinski (Fred), Rita Selders (Mike Taylor) and Helen Montgomery (Tim); her stepchildren, Don Wilfong (Mary), Joe Wilfong (Linda) and Leanne Kessler; and her children-in-law, Beverly Lattina and Fred Breihaupt. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Braun Family Funeral Home (265 Quarry Rd, Columbia, IL 62236). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Humane Society, or the ASPCA in Mary's memory.
