He was predeceased by: his parents, William Heitert and Lillian Henkenis; his wife Katheryn Heitert; and his siblings, Lorraine, Lil and Bill (Ellen).
He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Heitert, Daniel Heitert and Pamela Gray-Hemann (Stephen); his grandchildren, Jamie Gray, James Gray III, Kaelyn Crook (Dakotah) and Stephen Hemann Jr.; his great grandchildren, Riley, Benjamin Gray and Della Crook; and his sister Sharon (Ken).
