It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anastasia Rose Martinez of Independence, Missouri, born in Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on January 1, 2026, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Anthony; her parents, Aquilino Villegas and Tomasa Villegas (Hernandez); and her grandson Andre Martinez. She is survived by: her children, Rita Bryant (Jay), Denise Martinez, Olivia Comer (Scott), Anthony Martinez II (Connie), Andre Martinez (Kerry), Adrian Martinez and Jennifer Martinez; and her siblings, Maria Teresa Pedroza (Robert) and Raphael Villegas. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Mark Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society.
