With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carol L. Dudley of Independence, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 1, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Iverson Birdwell and Mildred Birdwell; her husband William S. Dudley; her son Tony Darnell; her grandchildren, Logan Darnell and Elizabeth Darnell; and her daughter-in-law Marlene Darnell of Independence.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Salem Funeral Home (1823 N Blue Mills Rd, Independence, MO 64058). A memorial service was held on Thursday, March 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
