She is survived by: her husband Kim Nagel; her children, Casey Nagel (Mark Paxton), Chrissy Durham and Korey Nagel; her grandchildren, Kyle Durham, Kenzie Durham, Gracie Durham, Kynlee Nagel and Karter Nagel; her brother Tim Layden (Beth); her nephews, Jason Layden (Jonathan Ji), Patrick Layden, Jeremy Layden (Pam) and David Layden; and her niece Jessica Shubert (Michael).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Independence Academy's therapy dog program, honoring Cathie's love and care for children and her community.
