He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence "Pappy" Harris and Alice Bullock Harris; and his brothers, Dan and Richard Harris. He is survived by: his children, Shannon R. Harris and Shelby Ann; his grandson Victor Elton Anderson; and his siblings, Larry Harris, Becky and Betsy.
