He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Laitner and Louise Laitner (Heins); his wife Susan; his brother Douglas; and his sister-in-law Shawn.
He is survived by: his children, Josh (Christie Laitner) of Holden, MO and Andrea Uptegrove of Blue Springs, MO; his grandchildren, Jonathan, Elizabeth, Audrey and Garrett; and his brother Jonathan (Marianne Laitner) of Independence, MO. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
