She was predeceased by: her mother Mary Jo Smith (Inbody). She is survived by: her husband Tony Highfill; her father Wayne Smith of Blue Springs, MO; her sister Beth Roberts (Brent) of Lee's Summit, MO; her nieces, Rachel, Lauren and Reagen; her stepson Kyle Highfill (Crystal) of Lee's Summit, MO; and her grandchildren, Juliana and Dominic.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Carson-Speaks Chapel (1501 W Lexington Ave, Independence, MO 64052). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. The inurnment was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at the Oak Ridge Memory Gardens (18301 E Salisbury Rd, Independence, MO 64056).
