It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Daniel Vernon DeLong in Independence, Missouri, born in Rutland, Vermont, who passed away on April 13, 2024, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Vernon DeLong and Elisabeth DeLong; and his siblings, Delwin and Heidi. He is survived by : his wife Lorie DeLong; his children, Andrea (Dustin), Aaron and Hanah; and his siblings, David (Linda), Derwood (Connie), Sarah, Donne, Damon and Darren. He is also survived by his extended family members and numerous dear friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Speaks Suburban Chapel (18020 East 39th St S, Independence, MO 64055). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery (20109 MO-13 BUS, Higginsville, MO 64037).
