He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore "Ted" Gillis and Lillian Gillis (Leonard); and his siblings, Howard Gillis, Shirley Carmody and Patricia Wood.
He is survived by: his siblings, Janice Laing (Joe) of Prairie Village, Joyce Maple of Arkansas City and Jack Gillis (Janet) of Lee's Summit, Missouri.. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
