It is with sadness that the passing of Debra A. Romans of Independence, Missouri is shared. Debra, born on June 30, 1953, passed away on October 13, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Debra A. Romans to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Donna Hurshman (Cox) and Earl Hurshman; her grandparents, Ellen "Boppy" and Harold; her husband Ben; her grandson Shawn Kleoppel; and her brother Tim.
She is survived by: her daughter Shawna Kleoppel (Billy Bob) of Muskogee, Oklahoma; her stepdaughters, Beckie Lucas (Dave), Brenda Walters (Doug) and Bevin Johnston-Romans (John); her brothers, Danny, Michael, Martin, Matthew, Mark Hurshman and Randy Mort; and her grandchildren, Brooke, Tyler, Josiah, Zachary, Noah, Hannah, Meshelle, Brittany, Megan, Cody and Remilia. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Royer Funeral Home (101 SE 15th St Pl, Oak Grove, MO 64075). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
