He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Velma Nickerson and Ernest Nickerson (Independence Sanitarium); his nephew J. Michael Burke (Wash) of Granite Falls; and his godchildren, Justin Chamberlin, Jesse Chamberlin, Andy Lassley and Nathan Lassley.
He asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Kidney Fund or to the University of Kansas.
