We announce the death of Donald Hicks of Independence, Missouri, who passed away on September 29, 2026, at the age of 70. He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Sr. Hicks and Norma Hicks (Weers); his wife Vickie Lasater; his siblings, Betty Finkbiner and Thomas Hicks; and his pet Lulu.
He is survived by: his son Nathan Hicks of Independence, MO; and his siblings, Chester Hicks Jr. of Blue Springs, MO, Robert Hicks (Cheryl) of Kansas City, MO, Linda Edwards (Russell) of Garden City, MO and Scott Finkbiner.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Southpoint Church of Christ (101 W Red Bridge Rd, Kansas City, MO 64114).
