He was predeceased by: his parents, Buel McCain and Golda McCain (Simmons); his close friend Donna Soehlig; his wife Lois McCain; his sister Velva; and his brother-in-law George Zvirgzdins.
He is survived by: his children, Pamela Jean and Darrell Scott; his children-in-law, Galen Brannon and Dana McCain; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Wheeler (Jacob), Hannah McCain (Alex Naylor), Caleb McCain (Bianca), Andrew Brannon (Ainslea) and Aaron Brannon; his great grandchildren, Maya, Maverick McCain and Baby Brannon; his siblings-in-law, Larry and Jane DeMoss; and his brothers, David McCain (Mel) and Donald McCain (Sharon). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and a never ending list of friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Solid Rock Bible Church (2501 NE Parvin Rd, Kansas City, MO 64116). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Floral Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery (7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64133).
