It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Barrett of Independence, Missouri, who passed away on October 20, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Ernest departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Ernest may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Ernest leaves behind.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert Barrett and Eva Barrett.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project and Mission of Love Adult Day Care in Ernest's honor.
