It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn June Cummings of Independence, Missouri, born in Cainsville, Missouri, who passed away on October 19, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Bain and Bonny Bain (Brower); and her siblings, Ori, Roy, Russell "Pete", Inez "Hebie" and Graci.

She is survived by: her husband John Wesley Cummings; her sons, John "Randy", Danny Cummings (Lisa) and Randy Cummings (Michelle); and her grandchild Shay Cummings. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial donation can be made in Evelyn's name to The Living Center at Fitzgibbon Hospital, 2506 Linden Tree Pkwy, Marshall, MO 65340.

I was sure that something must have changed since this year, 2021, was only the second time in 43 years that I had not received a birthday greeting from your Mom. She made it a point to send one each year to my wife and myself since the birth of our first born son. David, and later our son, Stephen. Considering when she passed away, we had visited with her just a month before. Dennis & Jeannie Bowman, 816-721-1966”
