Frances Sue Gabbard Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances Sue Gabbard in Independence, Missouri, born in Idabel, Oklahoma, who passed away on January 20, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Morris Sheppard Crouch and Louise Bell Cagle; and her husband Gary Curtis Gabbard. She is survived by: her sisters, Ina Faye (Diener) and Mary Lou (Koster); her former husband Charles Edward Becker; her sons, Charles Becker (Pam), David Becker (Linda) and James Becker (Cheryl); her grandchildren, Wilson, Joseph, Nora and Andrew; her great grandchildren, Everly and Isla; and her stepdaughters, Erika Gabbard, Kristin Gabbard Irving and Hansi.

Donations may be made in Frances's memory to the 1859 Jail and Museum Campaign at the Jackson County Historical Society (http://www.jchs.org).
