He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul F. Hommes and Lillie A. Hommes (Henning); his wife Hildegarde (Gustafson); and his siblings, Robert "Bob", Wayne "Bud", Pauline and June.
He is survived by: his sons, Kurt (Catherine) and Kyle Hommes (Rockele "Rocky"); his grandchildren, Kyle Hommes and Stephen Hommes; and his great grandchildren, Waylon Hommes and Braxton Harrington.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Newcomer's Noland Rd Chapel (509 S Noland Rd, Independence, MO 64050). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St Luke's United Church of Christ (727 N Main St, Independence, MO 64050).
