He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Smith and Lydia Smith (Sites); and his brothers, Donald and William Smith. He is survived by: his wife Dana V. Polzin; his daughters, Debra Rinella (Joe) of Independence and Barbara Young (Buddy) of Lake Tapawingo; his grandchildren, Andy Strope (Ashley) of Indianapolis, IN, Chris Rinella of Denver, CO, Marissa Hamilton (Brad) of Lakewood, CO, Jonathan Strope, Nick Strope of Kona, HI and Kara Frayne (Kyle) of St. Louis, MO; and his great grandchildren, Lincoln, Oliver Strope, Forest Hamilton and Aspen Hamilton.
