It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Edward Taylor (Independence, Missouri), who passed away on May 23, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, David Taylor and Irene Taylor; and his siblings, Jeannette Colver and LeRoy Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Sondra; his children, Daniel Taylor (Sarah) and Melissa Johnson (Chris); his grandchildren, Abram, Phoebe, Titus, Naomi, Lydia, Madeline, Hannah, Amelia, Joel, Josiah and Charley; and his siblings, Tom Taylor (Sue) and Iona Ellis (David).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Speaks Suburban Chapel (18020 East 39th St S, Independence, MO 64055). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pebble Creek Church (3711 S Whitney Ave, Independence, MO 64055).
