She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Clayton Smith and Esta Smith (Ipsen); her children, Patricia Launius of Independence, Charles "Bob" Whetstone (Teresa) of Oak Grove, Michael Whetstone (Danya) of Springfield and Jeff Whetstone (Karen) of Independence; and her husband Dr. Maynard Whetstone. She was also cherished by 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 6 great, great grandchildren.
