With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janet Kay Slaybaugh (Independence, Missouri), born in Creston, Iowa, who passed away on December 6, 2023 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Verla Dean and Paul Varner; and her husband Jerry Neil Slaybaugh. She is survived by: her children, Lori Gregor (Bob) of Lenexa, KS and Greg Slaybaugh (Heather) of Blue Springs, MO; her brother Brad Varner (Anna); her niece Bobbi Jo Bartles of Clarinda, IA; her grandchildren, Anna Slaybaugh (Jay Martins), Chip Slaybaugh (Catherine), Felecia Gotway (Nolan), Charlie Slaybaugh, Kayla Slaybaugh, Libby Gregor and Sara Gregor; and her great grandchildren, Violet Slaybaugh, Madelena Stewart and Tatum Martins. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
