He was predeceased by: his parents, John Franklin and Lorrain Idalle Ashby (Eaton); and his sisters, Diane Howell, Nancy Farley, Delana Smith and Emily Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Michell Craig, Amy Hershberger, MaLinda Slette, Tanner Slette (T. J.) and Jimmy Ashby Jr. (Kellee). He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; and six brothers and sisters.
