She was predeceased by: her parents, Ammon K. Higdon and Alma Juanita Maus (Sanders); her grandparents, Amos T. Higdon and Vinnie Higdon (Barnett); and her siblings, Gary K. Higdon, Wilma Ornita Sanders and Ivy Nunn.

She is survived by: her sister Mary Lee Libeer (Gary); her sibling's children, Keith Libeer (Bukky), Brian Libeer (Jennifer), Jennifer Hensley, Billie Jaziri of Indiana and Kathryn Sweeden of California; her great-nephews, Jacob Libeer, Joseph Libeer of Dallas, TX and T. J. Libeer; and her great-niece Allison Libeer of Washington, DC..
