He was predeceased by : his parents, Sally B Ohls Klamath Falls and Donald McCune. He is survived by : his brothers, Donald McCune of Centerview and Ronald McCune of Centerview; his children, Kimberly McKay of Conway, Sally, Johnathan McCune of Kansas City and Joshua McCune of Blue Springs; and his grandchildren, Alyssa, Krystian, Niko, Jaydon of Arkansas, Ethan, Nathan, Nevaeh, Heaven, Phoenix of Independence and Thea.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McGilley & Sheil Funeral Home (11924 E 47th St, Kansas City, MO 64133). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery (Higginsville, MO 64037).
