He was predeceased by : his parents, Arthur M Heiter and Fern Richardson Heiter; his son Gary Allen Heiter; and his brothers, Kenneth Heiter, William Heiter, Theodore Heiter (Nubbin) and Robert Heiter.

He is survived by : his wife Irene; his son John Michael Heiter (Mickie); and his grandchildren, Zane Michael Heiter, Brenna Mackenzie Heiter and Teagan Matthew Heiter.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Buckner MO (131 S Hudson St, Buckner, MO 64016). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at the Mound Grove Cemetery (1818 N River Blvd, Independence, MO 64050).
