She was predeceased by : her husband Robert Dale Peffer; her son Robert Dale Peffer, Jr.; and her parents, William Charles Smith and Frances Alma Smith (Ingram). She is survived by : her son Stephen Peffer of Independence; and her siblings, Sandra Kay Ward of Prescott, Arizona. and Bill Smith.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 16th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carson-Speaks Chapel (1501 W Lexington Ave, Independence, MO 64052). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 17th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, May 17th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:15 PM at the Mound Grove Cemetery (1818 N River Blvd, Independence, MO 64050).
