It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Loretta Rae Hanson of Independence, Missouri, who passed away on November 5, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her husband Daniel Matthew Hanson; her children, Wayne Vernon Day (Hazle), Diana Lynn Admire (Patti), Robert George Day (Katie), Jeff Hanson (Deniese) and Wes Hanson (Deb); and her siblings, Linda Smith, Irma Walk, Joe Darling (Sharon), Nancy and Marjie Darling.

A memorial service was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Harvesters (2800 NW Duncan Rd, Blue Springs, MO 64015).

Loretta saved countless lives by donating blood.
