It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marella L. Ellison of Independence, Missouri, who passed away on December 20, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Nave and Charity Nave (Martin); her parents-in-law, Dorothy and Tom Ellison; her siblings, Bruce, Phillip, Nelson Nave, Deloris Taylor, Nancy Wilson and Rosetta Nave; her granddaughter Kynara Carreiro; her granddaughter-in-law Sandy Salzman-Upton; and her great grandchild Christopher Simpson.
She is survived by: her husband Alva Ellison; her brother Dan Nave (Sharon); her children, Linda E. Lorbecki, Patty Bailey (Tim), Debbie Upton (Max), Mike Simpson (Charlotte) and Beverly Simpson; her grandchildren, Christopher Lorbecki, Sarah Lorbecki, Susan Lindle (Jeremy), Linda M. Witkowski, Rosetta Hall (Tim), Cheryl Allen (Jack), Stephen Bailey (Rachael), Silas Upton, Tilena Upton, Kenny Upton, Jason Simpson, Leslie Beardall (Luke), Melissa Braun (Travis), Kayla, Hannah and Jacob Black; and her brother-in-law Steve Ellison (Carolyn). She is also survived by 19 great grandchildren and 8 great great-grandchildren.
