She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Thomas and Nellie Thomas (Bowen); her son Johnnie E. Simms; her husband Charles E. Simms; and her siblings, JoAnn Thomas, Helen Lucille, Norma June Bartlett, Althea Ethington and Donald Thomas.
She is survived by: her daughter Pamela S. Maloney; her brothers, Terry Wayne Thomas and Clyde E. Thomas; her grandsons, John Maloney (Traci) and Cayce Simms; her great grandchildren, Jack Linder-Maloney, Emmie, Apollo, Jinny and Zerick; and her sister Madeline Meischner of Illinois. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
