She was predeceased by: her parents, Stoestle Avery and Ruth Josephine Avery (Sypes); her spouse Lonnie Cobb; and her brothers, Michael Jo (Vivian Avery) and David (Vivian).
She is survived by: her siblings, Elaine Shockley of Clinton, MO, Felton (Lois Avery), Larry Avery of Inglewood and Dale (Laura Avery).
She volunteered through Shepherd Center with seniors in a program known as Breaktime at Metropolitan Baptist Church from 2003 until COVID 19 occurred.
