It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Peggy Griffin (Independence, Missouri), born in Clinton, Missouri, who passed away on July 21, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her former husband Johnny Griffin; her children, Johnson L Griffin Jr. and Dana Alvis; her parent Lorene Anderson Millard; her stepfather Luther Millard; and her brothers, Bob Horning and Chuck Burris.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Scott, Debbie Richardson and Jayne Fasse; her husband Greg; her son-in-law Sherrill Alvis; her siblings-in-law, Jerry Griffin and Bethel Horning; her grandsons, Jim Scott, Brent Fasse, Clint Fasse, William Grabb, Tommy Alvis and Cody Richardson; and also Luther Millard.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Speaks Suburban Chapel (18020 East 39th St S, Independence, MO 64055). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Mound Grove Cemetery (1818 N River Blvd, Independence, MO 64050).
