He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Gudgel and Marion Gudgel (Oberg) of Kansas City, KS.. He is survived by: his daughter Cecilia Gudgel; his siblings, Jane Stanfield of Overland Park, KS, Susan Balthazor of Kansas City, MO and Larry Gudgel of Shawnee, KS.; and his pet Peanut. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
