He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Burns, Sr. and Eunice A. Burns; and his brothers, John H. Burns, Jr. and Charles Edward Burns. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Burns; and his daughters, Tammy Burns (Krista Steiner), Bobbi Hedger (Todd), Addeanna Wallace (Sophea Khin) and Joyce Hays (Brennan). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
