He is survived by: his stepchildren, Gary E Sooter (US Marine Corps), Marjorie Sooter and Francis Sooter; his daughters, Patricia Root Bonilla of Independence, MO, Marjorie Garner (Scott) of Republic, MO and Francis Irwin (Ray) of Harrisonville, MO.; his grandchildren, Jasmine Bonilla of Independence, MO, Jeff Bonilla of Independence, MO, Sondra Peck (Robert), Sarah Ivaska (John), Susan Ellsworth (Charles), Matthew Irwin (Cassandra), Christopher Irwin and Frank Irwin; his great grandchildren, Olivia Bonilla, Joshua Peck (Hannah), Bethany Garcia (John), Courtney Ivaska, Sarah Elizabeth Ivaska, Jordan Ellsworth, Danielle Ellsworth, Elijah Irwin and Andrew Irwin; his great great grandchildren, Bryce Peck, Colton Peck, Remi Peck, Riley Peck, Elliana Garcia and Emersyn Garcia; and his siblings, Jim Root of Springfield, MO and Kathleen Montgomery of Texas. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
