It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Jean Davis of Independence, Missouri, who passed away on January 31, 2026, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Leroy Roberts and Mary Frances Chafin; her husbands, Norman Cox and Ron Davis; her grandson Michael Roberts II; her brother Dennis Roberts; and her nephew Tommie Roberts.
She is survived by: her sons, Michael Roberts (Alma) of Sugar Creek, MO. and Matthew Cox (Carol) of Independence, MO.; her granddaughter Hope Cox; her brother Tom Roberts (Dorothy) of Princeton, MO; her nieces, Julie Wyckoff Sloan (Rob), Jenny Wyckoff Davis (Mike), Melanie Stone Kitchen (Charlie) and Debbie Goodman (Shelby); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Damion Roberts, Tyler, Logan Davis, Peyton Sloan (Thaira), Colten Kitchen, Danielle Sloan, Shelby Kitchen Doerfler (Brady) and Elissa Kitchen. She is also survived by four great-great nephews.
